October 1 - Walt Disney World's Millennium Celebration Begins and lasts until January 1, 2001.

- The Skyway at the Magic Kingdom is closed.
- Both the Fantasyland Autopia (1959-1999) and Tomorrowland Autopia (1955-) are closed to be renovated and reopened as simply Autopia in 2000.
