Baloo is the easy going, musical bear from the jungles of India. He befriends the "man cub" Mowgli, which eventually results in Mowgli discovering who he really is. With his good sense of humor and caring attitude, Baloo is a superb friend and teacher.

Baloo is a character who will appear at Adventureland and in Asia at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Country Bear Jamboree[]
In Tokyo Disneyland's Country Bear Jamboree, there is a posting from Baloo in Grizzly Hall. This reads, "FREE to a good home! Man cub, approx 10 yrs. & growing! Well behaved, sings & dances. Has all shots, call Baloo".[1] A message from the Five Bear Rugs in the queue says, "With just the bare necessities".[2] In the Magic Kingdom's Country Bear Jamboree, Baloo's song the Bare Necessities is sung by all of the bears.
