Charles E. Boles AKA Black Bart was a, "Gentleman criminal" outlaw of the Wild West, often seen with a black ace playing-card tucked into his top-hat. He was known for fighting Sheriff Lucky, and attempting to rob the Golden Horseshoe Saloon only to be stopped by Pecos Bill.

- In the queue for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Disneyland, there is a black Ace of Clubs pinned to the back of the sign with bullet-holes around it. This might be a tribute to Black Bart, though Bart's playing card appeared to have been an Ace of Spades.
