Donald Duck is a character who stars in cartoons and comics produced by The Walt Disney Company, introduced as a supporting character in the 1934 Silly Symphony The Wise Little Hen. He is a white anthropomorphic duck whose most famous personality trait is his easily provoked and explosive temper. He soon rose to become the studio's major star, eclipsing Mickey Mouse in popularity and starring in more than 100 theatrical cartoons through 1961. He was also a major star in comics (gathering an equally popular array of co-stars such as his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie and uncle Scrooge McDuck), and remains an active figure in Disney television shows, comic books, and countless shows and parades at the Disney theme parks. He is voiced by Tony Anselmo

History[]

Background[]

Origins[]

Donald Duck is an anthropomorphic, "Toon" duck active since the 1930s. Donald came from an expansive family of waterfowl, and was the son of Quackmore Duck and Hortense McDuck, along with the brother to Della Duck. Donald was also fairly close with his maternal uncle, Scrooge McDuck, the adventurous wealthiest duck in the world. When Della disappeared, Donald took over in raising her three sons, Huey, Dewey & Louie.

Donald is close friends with fellow Toon birds, Panchito Pistoles and José Carioca, and the three make up the musical-group, "The Three Caballeros". Donald was the boyfriend of Daisy Duck. Donald, and various people in his life lived in the Los Angeles community of Toontown.

In 1947, Donald played piano at the Ink & Paint Club alongside Daffy Duck of Warner Bros fame. Around 1947-1948, Donald performed Hungarian Rhapsody at the Ink & Paint Club.

Around the 1990s, the Hollywood agent bird Morris tried lining up a contract to sign with Donald.

Mickey's PhilharMagic[]

At some point, the Three Caballeros performed at the Fantasyland Concert Hall in a show called, "Festival de les Mariachis".

At some point, Donald helped set up Mickey's PhilharMagic Orchestra at the Fantasyland Concert Hall. Donald took a nap before they performed, and was late to set up the show. When Mickey was busy, Donald decided to play with the Sorcerers Hat used to control the orchestra, causing the instruments to attack him and Donald to accidentally be sucked into various different musical worlds while trying to get the hat back.

Donald was brought to the castle of the Beast in France, where he tried to get the hat at a dinner hosted by the servant Lumiere. After this, he found his way to the worship of Yen Sid, the previous sorcerer who possessed the hat where Donald was attacked by Magic Brooms. After being flooded, Donald found his way in scuba-gear, under the sea in the grotto hideaway of the mermaid, Ariel and her fish friend, Flounder. Here, Donald was kissed by an electric eel which electrocuted him. After this, Donald found his way to the Pride Lands of Africa, in the middle of a musical number of animals orchestrated by the young lion prince, Simba. Following this, Donald wound up in the Land of the Dead where the hat was taken by the spirit dog, Dante, who Donald tried pursuing on the back of the spirit animal, Pepita. Donald wound up on stage with Miguel and Héctor Rivera, doing a musical performance for their fellow skeletons, where Dante gave Donald the sorcerer's hat.

After this, Pepita flew Donald and the hat into the sky where Donald found himself above Edwardian London. Donald was assisted in chasing the hat by Peter Pan, who sprinkled Tinker Bell's pixie-dust on him allowing him to fly. This lead to Donald finding himself over ancient Agrabah where the hat found its way on the magic carpet of Aladdin and Princess Jasmine, who Donald pursued on his own carpet. When he caught up with them, the couple gave Donald the hat, only for it to be knocked off by the villainous parrot, Iago. Donald pursued the hat, finding himself in a vortex of instruments which was then contained by Mickey, returning.

When Mickey performed, one of the tubas sucked up Donald and blasted him to the brick wall at the back of the theatre. After this, it appears Mickey used the instruments to further torment and punish Donald.

World Showcase[]

The Three Caballeros were set to perform for a, "Gran Fiesta Tour Boat Cruise" where Donald was absent, touring Mexico. José and Panchito then tracked him down and brought him to perform at the Mexico Pavilion of EPCOT.

Later history[]

Around the 2020s, Donald drove a truck for, "Dancewear JuJuYu Delivery", to deliver to Daisy's dance studio in Downtown Toontown.
