Dr. Helen Marsh is a character from the attraction DINOSAUR. She is portrayed by actress Phylicia Rashad.
History[]
Background[]
Origins[]
Dr. Helen Marsh is a doctor and businesswoman who was well known for saving museums from bankruptcy. By the 1990s, she was recruited by the Dino Institute of Diggs Country, Florida to be the institute's new chairwoman. As head of the Dino Institute, she purchased the company ChronoTech which was experimenting with time-travel technology via the CTX Time Rovers. Using these time rovers, Marsh oversaw expeditions to the time of dinosaurs to study the animals, along with time-travel tourism for increased revenue.
Countdown to Extinction[]
Marsh's paleontological subordinate Dr. Grant Seeker went on an unauthorized expedition to probe an iguanodon in the past, causing her to punish him by having him stay in the present and locking him out of the system needed to change temporal coordinates on the Time Rover tours which he oversaw, as the time where the iguanodon was found was minutes before the meteor impact which wiped out the dinosaurs. However, Seeker hacked into the system and took a tourism group to recover the iguanodon anyways, with said group having been pursued by a Floridian Carnosaurus along the way.
Ultimately, Seeker managed to bring guests back to the present with the iguanodon moments before the meteor would have killed them all. The iguanodon roamed around the Dino Institute with Seeker attempting to keep it a secret from her; before the animal escaped.
