Background[]
Edgar Balthazar was the English butler to French noblewoman Madame Adelaide Bonfamille in 1910. When Edgar learned that she left everything in her will to her cats, he schemed to dispose of the cats, drugging them and taking them out into the country though he was chased off by dogs. When the cats returned, he tried putting them in a crate to be sent off to Timbuktu, only to be knocked into the crate himself and shipped off.

Edgar has made rare live appearances such as Disneyland After Dark: Villains Nite and Disneyland Paris' Disney Loves Jazz. He appears alongside the basket which he used to cat-nap, and the crate addressed to Timbuktu.
