- In Gaston's Tavern, the hat of Davy Crockett can be found hanging from Gaston's chandelier. This could also be a reference to Brom Bones from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949), who also wore a coonskin cap and who was an inspiration for Gaston.
- Gaston is one of the few animated feature villains relevant to the cast of Fantasmic! who is not summoned by the Evil Queen.
