Gritty the Rabbit is a character from Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
History[]
Background[]
Gritty was a rabbit living in the bayou outside of New Orleans during the 1920s. Gritty was described as having a "High-energy flair" and being "always willing to dig a little deeper to help others" with a problem relieving her nerves. Playing on an automobile's license plate taken from someone named Avery, Gritty was a member of Zydeco Rainbow, a Zydeco band of critters by 1927.
This band was then found by Princess Tiana who recruited them for the Bayou Community Band. The Bayou Community Band performed at Princess Tiana's bayou estate Fleur du Bayou.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure[]
Gritty first appears in the "Going down the Bayou" scene as part of the Zydeco Band. She reappears in the finale, playing as part of the Bayou Community Band. In the queue of the Magic Kingdom, there is a posting for a missing license plate from someone named Avery. In the attraction, this is the license plate which Gritty the Rabbit plays as an instrument.
