Hopper's Minions conjecturally refers to a group of characters from It's Tough to be a Bug!.

These were various bugs on Discovery Island that acted as henchmen of the evil grasshopper, Hopper.

History[]
Background[]
Hopper had his henchmen intrude on the Tree of Life Theater during Flik's performance of "It's Tough to be a Bug!", aimed at promoting peace between shrunken down humans and bugs. Hopper had a horned beetle force Flik off the stage while his hornets held up a paper promoting the Knock 'em' Dead exterminator service. Hopper then had old human horror movies featuring giant bugs projected onto the paper before somehow using it to spray guests with bug spray. When this had no effect, he had his hornets sting the humans then released black widow spiders over their heads.
Hopper went on to call off the attackers so they would leave the humans to him. He was then eaten by a lizard wandering through the theater.

It's Tough to Be a Bug![]
The horned beetle forced Flik off the stage before the hornets held up the screen Hopper used to play horror movies. The hornets' stingers jabbed into seated guests, while the black widow spiders were large animatronics that were dropped from the ceiling.
Trivia[]
- Hopper's black widow spiders do not have similar bodies to Rosie from A Bug's Life.
