Background[]
Lincoln Costain was a cowboy in the 1850s. While in San Francisco, he was shanghai'd on a boat which he leaped off of, and washed up on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. On Kauai, Lincoln used his cowboy skills to assist widow Henrietta MacAvoy and her son Booton 'Little Maca' MacAvoy in creating a cattle business. Lincoln was also in contact with one Trader Sam, who he sent messages in bottles to.
While on the island, Costain defeated a, "witch-doctor" named Malakoma, stopped a stampede, and decided to stay on the island. The success of Costain's cattle-business on the island lead to the Great South Seas Cattle Drive.
