The Lone Ranger is a fictional western character, originating from 1930s radio, and most famously portrayed by Clayton Moore on The Lone Ranger television series. The character was adapted by Disney as the character John Reid in the 2013 Weird-West blockbuster The Lone Ranger where he was portrayed by Armie Hammer.

Disney California Adventure[]

For the premiere of the Lone Ranger film, a faux steam-train with western crates was put up in Hollywoodland.[1][2]

Frontierland[]

The Lone Ranger made live appearances in Disneyland Park's Frontierland during the 1950s.[3]

Golden Horseshoe Saloon[]

Leading up to the 2013 film's release, the, "FRONTIERLAND EXPRESS" newspaper could be found at this saloon dated to 1869, with articles covering the histories of the Lone Ranger, Tonto, Silver, and the Texas Rangers. The, "Code of the Lone Ranger" was likewise featured on this newspaper.[4]

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe[]

One of the gifts which Pecos Bill was left by Western hero comrades includes a framed black domino-mask with no name on its plaque.[5] Also in this restaurant is Pecos Bill's Company C Texas ranger, "Warrant of Authority" from March 24, 1894, signed by Adjutant General John Reid.[6] When the Lone Ranger film came out, the Tall Tale Inn served a Lone Ranger themed root-beer drink, served in a glass mug resembling a boot with the Lone Ranger's title and badge on it.[7]
