Erik the Opera Ghost or the Phantom of the Opera is the titular main-antagonist of Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel Le Fantôme de l'Opéra. He has made appearances in the Disney Parks, modelled after his 1925 film adaptation in-which he was portrayed by legendary actor Lon Chaney Sr..

There is a roastie-toastie popcorn machine outside of the Haunted Mansion which uses the likeness of the Phantom.[1]

In the Haunted Mansion are two opera singers that are, "Phantoms of the Opera" accompanied by a knight who is a, "Knight at the Opera". The Haunted Mansion for a time also had a live-performed, "Phantom" who scared guests within.
