The Pink Elephants are hallucinated characters from Dumbo (1941). They are based on the expression, "Seeing pink elephants" which refers to alcoholic hallucinations.

The Pink Elephants are surreal pink elephant hallucinations which were witnessed by both Dumbo and Timothy Q. Mouse when circus clowns laced their drinking water with liquor.

In early development and concept-art, the flying elephants in Dumbo the Flying Elephant would have represented the pink elephants. In the Magic Kingdom, one of the murals along the base of the attraction shows the Pink Elephants on parade.
