Rackety Raccoon is a character from Splash Mountain.
History[]
Background[]
Rackety Racoon was a raccoon around Chickapin Hill in the 19th century. He used the woods near the hill for moonshining. One day an explosion for was caused for his moonshining; with it being speculated that he used too many blueberries. The explosion destroyed the recently constructed dam of the Beaver Brothers, resulting in a flood which drenched Chickapin Hill and transformed it into what locals renamed as, "Splash Mountain".[1]

Sam Clemens indirectly referenced the dam incident when he explained the story of how Chickapin Hill was turned into Splash Mountain by a burst dam.

This saloon was themed to being run by Rackety, and used his likeness in the sign.

Trivia[]
- The character Br'er Raccoon appeared in Splash Mountain and Song of the South. In Splash Mountain's successor attraction, Tiana's Bayou Adventure, there is the character Apollo the Raccoon.
- In the Magic Kingdom's Splash Mountain, "Muskrat Moonshine" was visible on parts of the attraction.
