Origins[]
Randall is a monster in Monstropolis who resembles a large lizard with the ability to change his scales' colour and patterns to blend in with his surroundings. He worked as a, "Scarer" for the company Monsters, Inc. where he scared children for power. In the company, Randall had a rivalry with fellow scarer James P. "Sulley" Sullivan whom he was often second-best to.
Kidnapping Boo[]
During a scream shortage, Randall became part of a conspiracy headed by his boss, Henry J. Waternoose III. Randall and his assistant Fungus created a massive mechanical, "Scream Extractor" which would painfully drain scream energy from kidnapped human children. Randall attempted to kidnap a girl who he frequently scared, only for her to be found and taken in by Sulley.
Randall schemed to find the girl and get her back while Sulley and Mike assumed that Randall was head of the conspiracy. When the two turned to Mr. Waternoose, he banished them to the Himalayas while taking the girl. Mike and Sulley found a way to get back to the factory where they fought Randall in the door storage complex. The girl overcame her fear of Randall and hit his head with a baseball bat before Sulley and Mike threw him into a door to the human world where he was seen as a, "Gator" and attacked in a trailer park.
After this, the CDA arrested Mr. Waternoose and placed Mike & Sulley in charge of the company.
Ride & Go Seek[]
Some time later, Randall managed to return to Monstropolis on the night of flashlight festivities. As Boo was back in Monstropolis, Randall planned to abduct her for his scream extractor amidst a black-out. When Randall tried to take Boo near the company trash compactor, he got knocked into the machine by Mike and painfully compacted alive into a trash cube, though he seemed to survive the incident.
Randall's later history is unknown.
