Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is an area in Disneyland Park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. The 14-acre land was the largest single land expansion in the history of the resort. It contains two attractions and a cantina-themed restaurant. The theme is based off a never-before-seen planet known as Batuu in the Star Wars galaxy. Construction began in 2016.
Galaxy Edge is located in two resorts: Walt Disney World and Disneyland. The Disneyland version opened on May 31, 2019. The Walt Disney World version opened on August 29, 2019.[1]
Layout[]
The land is themed to a remote outpost on the outer rim planet of Batuu. The First Order has taken over Black Spire Outpost in search of the hidden Resistance base.
The land is designed so that each guest can feel as if they are living their own Star Wars story. The cast members use their own keywords and dialogue to make you feel as if you are actually in the Star Wars universe.
