History[]
Background[]
Early History[]
Tomorrowland's earliest history seems to go back to the year 1986. Early projects in Tomorrowland included Moonliner Flight Systems where Professor Tom Morrow oversaw the Moonliner rocket being sent to the moon, and where Mister Johnson oversaw the Moonliner being sent to Mars. There was also Snowflake EFX Ltd. which used the, "Mighty Microscope" to miniaturize individuals and Atom-Mobile vehicles to a microscopic and sub-atomic level. Tomorrowland's Submarine Lagoon was used to send off nuclear-submarines under the North Pole where they may have found ruins of Atlantis.
New Tomorrowland[]
- “The Tomorrow that Never Was...is Finally Here!”
- ―New Tomorrowland slogan
By around the 1990s-2000s, Professor Tom Morrow was elected the mayor of Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland also became headquarters fo the League of Planets, who created the League of Planets Astro-Orbiter as a show of Galactic Peace. The League of Planets was also involved in running Tomorrowland's space-port of, "Space Mountain". This resulted in many aliens coming to visit and live in Tomorrowland.
At some point between 1995 and 2000, Tomorrowland's Metropolis Science Center was visited by robotic Metropolis Institute of Time Travel members The Timekeeper & 9-Eye who showed off their time-travel technology in an incident where they also happened upon Jules Verne and brought him along for a time-traveling adventure which ended in Verne and H.G. Wells collaborating to make their own time-machine.[4]
Stitch's Great Escape[]
After escaping from the Galactic Federation Prisoner Transport Centre of the United Galactic Federation, the alien outlaw Experiment 626 AKA Stitch who broke into the Tomorrowland News Network's space-shuttle, being used by Dave Nebula. During Galaxy Day celebrations in Tomorrowland, Stitch interrupted a show of Tip Trendo before teleporting himself into Tomorrowland with back-up dancers bought through the amoral alien company Robo-Mart. Stitch escaped and went on a rampage throughout Tomorrowland as a wanted criminal.
ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter[]

The alien teleported into Tomorrowland
After Stitch's rampage in Tomorrowland, Tomorrowland became noticed by the probes of X-S Tech, an evil alien mega-corporation who supplied the United Galactic Federation Prisoner Transport Centre and whom were parent-company of Robo-Mart.[5] X-S Tech chairman L.C. Clench teamed up with the Tomorrowland Chamber of Commerce to hold a demo of X-S Tech's X-S Series 1000 Teleportation Tube in the Tomorrowland Interplanetary Convention Centre. This expo was opened by the X-S robot S.I.R. who demonstrated the technology on alien captive, "Skippy" who was mutilated by the technology, then disintegrated by it.
The apparent original plan was to demonstrate X-S Series 1000 teleportation systems by teleporting one Tomorrowland citizen to X-S Tech's headquarters to meet with Clench, though the chairman changed the plans last minute and had his scientists Dr. Femus and Spinlock send him to Earth instead. Due to a planet in the trajectory of X-S' teleportation beam, a giant carnivorous monster was teleported into the convention centre instead where it attacked and killed several people. Clench's activities during this incident were unknown, but he was seemingly recovered later.
Later history[]
Notable businesses in Tomorrowland were related to the Pizza Planet and Buzz Lightyear franchises of restaurants and toys. "Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin" became a notable member of Tomorrowland's Chamber of Commerce while Pizza Planet used the Moonliner as decor outside of their restaurant.
Around the 2000s, Tomorrowland was contacted by the extra-dimensional city of monsters, "Monstropolis" and their energy company Monsters, Incorporated. Company president James P. Sullivan and his peer Mike Wazowski used human laughter to generate electricity, prompting them to use a building in Tomorrowland to transport guests to their factory in Monstropolis for a comedy-show to create energy.
Around the 2010s, the Tomorrowland Expo Center hosted exhibits on multiple, "Superheroes" such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor and Captain America. After 2011, Thor's lover Dr. Jane Foster held an exposition on the culture and artifacts of Asgard to promote peace between realms after Thor's brother Loki tried conquering the Earth, with the exhibit being supported by Odin and having a bifrost portal to Asgard's throne-room.
At some point after c. 2010 (possibly into the 2020s), Sam Flynn of the company ENCOM created a building in Tomorrowland connecting to the digital world of the Grid.[6]
Development history[]
Tomorrowland was originally set in the then distant future of the year 1986. This was chosen as it would mark the return of Halley's Comet, the comet which Sam Clemens was both born and died under. When 1986 came, light pollution from human technology caused it to be the least visible recording of the comet in known history.
In 1994, Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom oversaw an overhaul aimed at adding more cohesive world and story theming to Tomorrowland.
