Professor Robert Callaghan or Yokai is the main-antagonist of Big Hero 6 (2014).
History[]
Background[]
Origins[]
Professor Robert Callaghan was a roboticist professor at the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. His daughter, Abigail, tested a portal for Krei Tech Industries and was lost on the other side, which Robert blamed Krei Tech CEO Alistair Krei for.
Big Hero 6[]
When Hiro Hamada debuted nano-bots at the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, Callaghan burned the place down, killing his pupil Tadashi who was Hiro's brother, and stole the nano-bots for his revenge plot. Using a Kabuki mask, he sought to recreate the portal for revenge against Krei, only to be stopped by Big Hero 6 who also saved Abigail from the portal. Yokai was subsequently sent to jail.

Yokai has made rare live-appearances at the parks. He appeared in the San Francisco section of Disney California Adventure for Disneyland After Dark: Villains Nite. He also made FanDaze event appearances as a walk-around character in Disneyland Paris.

Trivia[]
- Due to the character's generally unmemorable personality and lacklustre execution of the twist villain trope heavily used by Disney/Pixar in the 2010s, Yokai is often considered to be amongst Disney's weakest animated feature villains.
